Absolutely no smoking is permitted in our homes or event areas. As our guest, it is your responsibility to inform your visiting guests of this policy. Designated smoking areas are in the parking lot ONLY. No smoking will be permitted outside of this area, doing so will jeopardize the return of any security deposit collected.
Catering, Planners & Vendors
We will provide you with a list of preferred and approved wedding vendors to assist with your plans.
In an effort to provide an excellent wedding experience for our guests, we require a full-service caterer be secured for your wedding. Your caterer must be selected from our approved list of vendors that have been vetted extensively to ensure that your day runs smoothly, that excellent service is provided as well as wonderful menu selections. The vendors on our list vary both in specialized offerings as well as budget. We feel confident that our caterers will take very good care of you.
An Event Planner or Coordinator is mandatory for this property. This property requires a great deal from a coordinator or planner. A friend of the bride or family does not meet our criteria for a professional planner at this property. We want you to have the best experience possible, therefore, we suggest a full-service planner that can begin the planning process with you. All planners must have a signed Coordinator Agreement with required insurance on file in advance of the event and meet the requirements that Old Polo Vendors have. If you need assistance selecting a vendor suitable, please refer to our Preferred Vendor List or communicate with us directly. Please check with us to make sure that your vendors are approved. Per your agreement with us, we reserve the right to refuse vendors, given less than positive experiences.
We are happy to consider outside vendors, but they need approval from the property manager first.
All vendors must provide proof of insurance, including Walker Land Company as additionally insured prior to the event, for the event date.
Old Polo is governed under the Riverside County Sound Ordinance which states that all amplified music must end at 10 pm. This pertains to Live music, bands and DJ's. The ordinance applies to our event space as well as the home on property.
Any wedding with a guest count exceeding 300 people must provide adequate security for safety reasons. This will be at the guest's expense. We are more than happy to help schedule security services with our preferred security company. Please let us know in advance if you would like us to do so.
Pets & Children
Children are always welcome, but please leave your furry friends and family at home. We love pets also but we need to keep our home and plush greens, clean.
Confetti, Candles, Sparklers & More
No confetti, hay bales or sparklers are permitted on this property. Any violation of this policy will result in a charge. No open flame candles are allowed, all candles must be contained one inch above flame level.
Please note: no events shall utilize disposable plates, utensils, or glasses at Old Polo Estate.
Absolutely no overnight lodging (RV's or camping) is permitted on the property, outside of the accommodations on the property (unless otherwise negotiated with the property manager). We have no RV hook-ups and want to ensure that ALL guests have a great experience here at the Old Polo Estate.
Vehicles left in parking overnight will be towed at the owner's expense if not retrieved within 48 hours of event.
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. All alcohol must be served by a licensed caterer, bartender or bar tending service. If you are selling alcohol, an ABC license must be obtained and presented to us.
Old Polo has some tables available to you for your event, however these items are for use in the event area only.
Rehearsal Dinners & After Parties
Though we welcome rehearsal dinners and after parties at Old Polo Estate, they are limited to 50 people. If your party is beyond 50 guests, we do require that you have a coordinator involved and on the premisis for this event and pay an additional event fee.
